The pastoral record of the Rev. John Waldschmidt (1752 – 1786), PA Archives, Series 6, Vol. 6, page 193 shows: "Catharina Schneido, daughter of Johannes and wife Maria Elizabeth, born October 28,1752, bapt. November 26,1752...". You can see a transcription of the pastoral record here. Catharina Schneido is listed after many entries which are spelled "SCHNEIDER" so this seems to be further evidence that our family name was never Schneider or Snyder or any variation with the "er" ending. Catherine migrated with her parents and family to what is now Giles County, Virginia ca. 1766 – 1768. According to Prillaman family records*, ca. 1770 she married Jacob Prillaman who was then 18. Catherine Barbara was born on 10/28/1752 in Lancaster Co., PA and apparently died before 1796 at the age of 43. She and Jacob had the following children:

1. John Prillaman (1770– ____?)
2. Christian Prillaman (1772–1839)
3. Daniel Prillaman (ca. 1775–ca. 1840)
4. Ann Prillaman (1777–1852)
