His excellent blog "Backcountry Notes" was about the history and geography of his beloved Southwestern Virginia. He wrote one of the best descriptions of the Great Wagon Road that I have ever seen. Mr. Henderson lost his battle against cancer in October of 2010 and his domain name and blog expired in July of 2011. Prior to that, I saved a few of the best web pages of that blog but now we need to get permission to use it here on the Snidow website. So far I have been unable to contact anyone who can give such permission. If anyone knows how I can accomplish that, please email the webmaster.
